J3 and S14 shared the book week story ‘Ollie and The Wind’ and then made kites. We listened to the hilarious author Michael Wagner and we are lucky enough to have some of his books in the school Library. We had fun dressing up as our favorite book characters and thank you to the parents that helped their child look terrific!
J10 had an awesome day dressing up as their favourite characters, listening to Michael Wagner and making kites with our buddy grade! There will be some very tired children tonight that’s for sure.
We have had an interesting two weeks keeping track of all the medals won by the countries represented in our class.
What an amazing day we had!!! We saw so many different pieces of art and experienced the many different sites in the city. It was great to visit the galleries, but we also found the art we saw throughout the city was fascinating. From sculptures to people busking and playing music to graffiti on buildings… We had a lot of discussions about what art is and what makes something art!
J4 had a lot of fun today trying out our new Whisper Phones. These are great for helping us to hear our own voices clearly when reading out loud to ourselves! They can help us to hear our punctuation and listen to the sounds when we sound out our words.
We are so excited to be in the city at our first gallery – the ACCA!
Congratulations to the 10 badge design winners! Arts Expo badges are for sale for $1 before school, recess and lunchtime near the Welfare office.
J11 are loving looking at the art work of some famous artists – Monet and Michelangelo. They are enjoying making their own masterpieces.
