In J8 and J9, we are learning about how plants need water to grow. The plants soak up water through their roots and transpire (a fancy word for sweat) through their leaves!! We are very excited to see if they grow!!
Today we looked at different things that pollute the water in our streams, rivers and oceans.
You can be a part of the solution too – by making sure your rubbish goes in the bin and recycling.
We’ve been learning all about how water effects different materials.
We used chalk, old textas, paint brushes on the concrete and tested to see if the beads would sink or float.
On Wednesday afternoon, J3 and J4 became Super Gardeners!
Each group got to plant two different types of seeds; one that will be watered, one that won’t be, but will still get plenty of sunlight.
We think that the one we water will grow the best, what do you think?
